Babassu Carrier Oil

​Botanical Name: Orbignya oleifera

​Aromatic Description / Scent:  Odorless. This oil is refined without chemicals and can be used as a substitute for coconut oil. Unlike coconut oil, babassu oil is lightweight and not as greasy.

Metaphysical correspondences: Healing, protection, soothing.

Cosmetically, similar to coconut oil, it is a superior emollient for both dry and oily skin, gently moisturizes the skin. It is used in many skin-care products such as soaps, creams, milks, lip balms, and hair-care products. 

Cautions: None known. 

Shelf Life: Up to 2 years with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). It is recommended that cold-pressed carrier oils be kept in a cool dark place to maintain freshness and achieve maximum shelf life. Refrigeration after opening is recommended. ​If refrigerated, bring to room temperature before using.
